I have been trying to accomplish various leech patterns that all involve the dubbing block. I have tried using the dubbing loop but I find it way harder. Can someone please give me a link to a site showing me how to make a dubbing block? To all who are not familiar to this tool, you have probably heard it in another name. To let you know what this tool is.... It is a block of wood, in which you insert wire into the middle of the block and add dubbing to the wire.... In which you turn until all your dubbing, until it is stuck to the wire and has been made into a dubbing strip.

What you're referring to is a dubbing brush. The Fly Tyer magzine had an article with plans on constructing your own dubbing brush jig. I'll see if I can track it down.

If you don't want to make a dubbing block, Superfly distributes them. They're around $60.

The plans for the jig can be found in the Summer 2007 edition of the Fly Tyer magazine. I'll see if I can get the plans scanned.
