ok well i needed to get some waders this weekend as i'll be needing them this week with school.

we are electofishing, netting and tagging brook trout and rainbow trout in a certain stream in the Lindsay area.

so i picked up a pair of Bare waders and Caddis wading boots.

what's the best way to dry and store the waders.

they say to hang them up, but i'm concerned it might stretch the shoulder straps and will lose elasticity.

thanks guys!!!

I hang mine to dry and hang them when storing. If they're breathable waders it's best not to fold them when storing for long periods. Folding them will stress the seams and can cause them to leak.

i have a neoprene set. and i don't want the "rubber" to stretch so i'll make sure it's dry and put it underneath my bed for storing.

thanks

hey, i've had/worn a pair of bare waders for at least 8 years and have done everything from hung them up to roll them up while wet and have never had a problem with them. as far as i'm concerned, i would buy nothing but them in neoprene for waders. hope this helps.

thanks evan!!

i was looking at simms (sp?) but they are around 300 to 400$, and as a student who is paying for school, rent, and not living at home... i got those ones. they were on sale, 160$ pretty good deal, i thought.

I have had wders for many years now. The best way to allow waders to dry is to hang them by the soles. There are hangers available that secure the feet/soles upside down in a manner that does not stretch anything!
A local fly fishing shop should have them.
