Gluing hides

What do you use to glue rabbit hides/zonkers to each other to make bunny-strip flies. I've read that to use "Val-a- tear mender" but cannot find a source locally.

I assume you are referring to the "double bunny" fly pattern. I've tied them using "LockTight" but any super glue would work (i.e. Zap-a-gap, etc)

i never actually glued mine together, i find they worked well with both kicking separately in the water- works great for striped bass. but i alway put the hook through the bottom strip.
