the black & olive bugger was silly... toooo many fall fish... several scrappy smallies... nothing huge but sooo many fall fish...
it was on and off for me, cause I kept going back to the popper. Id catch a smallie or two, then tie back on the popper and search with it a bit... after 10min of nothing... I'd switch back to the bugger.... in the end, the popper did not produce a single fish...
white bugger also worked well. I tied it on closer to the end of the nite. It seemed to get more smallies than fall-fish, but it was a different location so it's more probable that there were less fall fish in that hole than down further near the end of the fast-water......
which is frigg'n polluted with fall fish... if you want quantity, not quality, get down around 75 feet from the weeds (surface weeds) right at the end of the wash and just put a size 8 black & olive bugger with copper rib in the water anywhere... i swear, put it in your hand and wave your fingers under water... it'll probably work... it's reedonkcuelous!
the smallies that I did grab were getting fat btw, which is nice to see... the feed bags are getting strapped on...
