what is fly fishing and what is not fly fishing.

this is hard to no whats it or not.

wen you see tenkara style..they do use some flies...but no fly rod...but this is how its start centuries ago.

so if you use a flie on a reg rod..can you call it fly fishing.?

if you look at purist that use bamboo rod and horse hair for fly fishing that is the start of it all...they would sayd that big orvis rod and that special fly line and that carbon make poper is not fly fishing.

so what is or not fly fishing.????

like i was saying a few weeks back..those big popper sher are more a lures then a flies to me..but there trown by a fly rod..???

Try throwing one of those big popper flies with spin tackle and see how far it doesn't go.
