minimum hp

hey all i have a 14 foot tinney and a 10 hp... im looking to move up a lil though..... i was wondering wat about the minimum hp would be to get a a skiier (that knows how to help themself up) keeping in mind that we are all under 200 lb.... and only 2 ppl in the boat

What is the max hp rating of the boat?

When I was a teenager we did it with a 20hp (but I was not 200 then), our old 14 was rated for a 25.

It was slow going,, tubes and boards worked better.

in my teenage days, i had an old "Ken Mac" wooden hull with a 27.7 Scott.
we could get a skier up and do 19 mph.

cant go over 20.... i think that should get us up though.....
