Lack of engine oil

What kind of damage will cause if not enough oil mix with gas for 2 stroke motor?
Recently my motor couldn't push boat to run as quickly as before, even though RPM was high. I found engine oil almost ran out.
I wonder if it damaged my motor permenantly??

could be real bad. If you starved the engine of oil, it would overheat and destroy your rings and finally sieze. Had this happen on a motorbike many years ago. Suggest you get a compression test done before you go out again - dealer time I'm afraid.

If you runout of 2 stoke oil for a short time you could have serious problems such as the engine siezing. Usually there is an alarm that will sound if you get to low on oil. ...Larry

I assume it must be and oil injected system?

My oil injection system has a warning buzzer, maybe you should see if you can get on installed?

I think fill the resivour with oil and take it out for a test spin. If all is well I would say you got away easy.

If it only ran out near the end of the day and then you figured out the problem I would not be concerned. Test the motor out and see if it works correctly. If it does not, then take it to a dealer.

Just my opinion.

OMG an oil injected motor where the buzzer actually works ..... what a concept
