Boat Cover

Post by waynerb66 »

Does anyone have any ideas on patching a boat cover? It is a heavier rubber type. Someone suggested a tire patch kit or a pool liner patch kit. Or where would you buy actual boat cover repair kits? Is that something I could get at Canadian Tire? The holes are all pretty small.
Thanks

if you used a good brand duct tape use a hair dryer to warm it up a bit .

repair

:D pool patches, the repair kit used for swimming pools has patches that can be put on under water. Put one on the top and one underneath and it may hold, it's pretty tough stuff.

Lee Valley sells an expensive duct tape but its worth it. It is the old, real kind of duct tape before they went cheapo on the stuff. It reminds me of the old military issue green gun tape dad used to bring home. That stuff is on for life. Check it out. I think it was about 20 bucks a roll. I love the stuff.
