Steering cable

Post by rickr »

My steering cable is mesured about 14'. If I need to replace it, the replacement must be same length'? A longer cable (16-17') is OK?

Regards.

Use same length when ever possible. With a longer cable you can get a kink because of the excess loop or develop very stiff steering.\

:D The cable will have a number on it and that will give you the proper length. If you are not sure remove the cable and measure it before you order a new one. When you remove it attached a fish ot it so the installing the new one is a bit easier. :D
