Follow the heater hoses and you should find a valve in the hose near the firewall Sometimes they seize up or the cable controlling it is no good. Run the engine untill the thermostat opens, feel the hose before and after the valve and see if they are the same temprature. If so feel the return hose from the heater core. If the valve is good and warm on both sides and the return is cold, then the heater core may be blocked. This can be corrected sometimes by backflushing the heater core with a garden hose.
Hi joco. I didn't do the work but I was standing there while the mechanic was poking about. If I recall, it was located along the top of the firewall on the passenger side and was easily accessible. It took 5 minutes to replace.
