We'll all be getting our boats out of storage soon so I thought it would be a good time to bring up this subject again.
With Ethanol being added to fuel and Ethanol not being outboard friendly I am looking for your input on this subject.
What fuell stabalizer or additive do you use and why?
I have a 2006 Merc 115hp EFI 4 stroke and will be using Shell gas exclusively.
Thanks in advance

Seafoam is great stuff but I wouldn't use it as a fuel stabilizer.
Get marine Sta-bil ( green unlike the regular red)

Also good idea to have 10 micron filter and water separator installed.

Marine Sta-bil avail at CT. Made specific for marine applications. Ethanol attracts moisture (methanol absorbs it) so the new hi ethanol content in ALL gas as mandated by the govt (min 10%), regardless of where you buy it, will attract moisture and should have Stabil added.
I add it to every boat fill up and to any fuel that sits for a long period: e.g my chain saw, whipper snipper, etc. I've had the gas for my whipper snipper at the cottage last for over 2 years without a problem.
Stabil is a must use to head off future problems. There are postings everywhere on the net that ethanol is a motor killer.
