15 hp johnson

Post by hawg hunter »

brother just bought a 1996 15 hp johnson ,this motor is electric start, and has a shift lever ,now it seems ta run fine but he has ta pull the kill switch pin ta stop it,(you know the cord attaches to you and if ya fall out it pulls the tab out and stops the motor)is this the way they are or should there be a kill button on the end of the handle?

ive not seen the motor yet(not that id know anyway lol)

also the northland trailer that came with the boat deal has no cereal # or atleast he said he could not fined it,now i thought it was near the hitch????

thanks for the help..

Instead of pulling on the cord, just press on it, it's actually a kill switch/button.
