connection querry

Post by LouisD33 »

I now have a new 998 c si for the bow. ( thanks lovey), ( thanks Ed ).
This will be connected to my 1197 c si at the helm
I will be installing the 998 si transducer on the trolling motor.
The 1197 si transducer on the transom along with a quad beam transducer.
What is the most effective way to connect both together.
Is it with the interlink module or by Ethernet cable.
Also what other cables or switches will I need

Thanks,

Louis.

Louis: I'm not sure if the model of 1197 you have supports the Ethernet cable. I will have to make some inquiries on that. That way would be the easiest and would only require the cable. The second method would be the interlink hub, but that only shares waypoints, not transducers. I'm still at home flat on my back (other than checking mail and sites a couple times a day) with a bug that has totally gotten the best of me, but hopefully I'll be back at the store early in the week and I can get more information for you.

And thanks too to your wife and you.

Ed.
The model is 1197 ex and does have a Ethernet connection on the back.
I am in no rush so take your time and get better.
When you feel better we can look into what all I will need to get setup.

Thanks ,
Louis.
