Crap I hate being a guy

When I really want something I must have it RIGHT NOW!!!

There was only 1 left at LeBarons and my membership card is getting close to expire so I just had to buy it.

Just finished reading the manual (and as many article reviews as I could on the net) and it has got a lot I am going to like about it.

My only concern is - fish on....motor off...not sure how I am going to turn off the motor with rod in hand and fish on the end of the line but it is a fair trade off to hit the anchor button and not to worry about getting washed ashore while unhooking the fish.

Can't wait to try this puppy out.

Watch for an add selling my 3 year old 75lb 24v 60 inch shaft Motor guide.

good on you Mr. J, I know you won't be disappointed with the new freedom of operating the trolling motor where ever you are in the boat.

What I found disappointing that with the V2 you can't combine foot pedal and I-pilot on Terrova you can. I can't imagine not to have foot pedal to keep hands free.

i-pilot

Post by Matt Bass »

I have tried it a couple weeks ago on my friend's boat and it was great. Amazing how it works. My friend tried it last week on the St-Lawrence and it was windy and he said that it was a bit more difficult to control it. I need to pick up mine this week and I am looking forward to use it, specially for walleye fishing.

I'm quite interested in one of these units. It would be nice if someone posted where they are available in Canada, especially online retailers who have them and prices. I've seen a V2 55 with ipilot as low as $750US in the states, the best price I've found here is $960.00CDN at Radio World, seems like an awful big price difference with the CDN dollar being at par!

Well I got mine at leBarons

Minn Kota web site said just under $1100 MSRP

LeBarons was just under $1300 and with the 10% discount card it was pretty close to the MSRP even with the exchange.

You won't find CDN prices close to the US. Most stock was picked up before the dollar was par, more likely around 90 cents on the dollar.

Hi, The Lebarons price on the V2 55 with I pilot is $975.00 now. Where do you get the 10% off card from?

Another question while I'm at it. Will the 55lb thrust be enough for my 19.5 foot Blue Fin Aluminum Bowrider. It weighs in at 1750lbs.

That's the cheapest so far. $859.77 with shipping, duties and taxes all included! I think that's in US dollars.

Yes it is in USD but still great price.
BTW don't forget that you will not get the pedal if you order I-pilot
since you can't use both on V2
There is hack in progres to bypass this handicap :)

Yes it is a good price, my 55lb thrust 12 V power drive was $1006 from Bass Pro, price includes taxes, shipping, currency exchange from visa.

You have to pay for it

Sorry but I do not remember the amount

I think it's around $20 and is good for a year and the way I spend money it pays for itself many times.

I'm going to watch the exchange rate and see if I can get it at par. So will the 55 be enough for my boat? What kind of batteries are you using and what kind of life are you getting?
