G'day lads

I hate to say it but Arnprior may lose Upper Ottawa Valley status since ya went and started to build a concrete jungle with those fancy confusing over passes and 2 lanes of traffic in each direction, just who the hell is in that big of a rush to get to work! What's next, you lads going to start wearing shirts with buttons too?

Yep, my hometown the Prior is certainly turning into a little suburbia  At least we dodged the amalgamation bullet....

That highway however is badly needed...it's gonna save lives......way, way, way to many fatal accidents on the stretch from Arnprior to the Frew. It is long over due.....ever travel that stretch on a long weekend........YIKES!!!

Gotta tell you guys... My in laws are from Alcove. Their family have been for about 150 years. The deed to the farm is literally on sheep skin.

Talk to them for about 17 seconds... there is a Valley lilt that makes you think that you might be in Newfoundland via Ireland.

I am from Montreal 20 years removed. But you can still hear the Looting and Rioting after a Stanley Cup win accent in my voice.

If Delmer (McClintock?) and Cecile Wiggins called this The Valley after the last Clog so many years ago... I would say that is good enough for me.

Ah - the Good Ol' Gatineau Clog !
I remember the traffic jams on the 105 when I was a young lad, heading up to my Aunt and Uncle's cottage on Poacher Lake !
