Ok,
Hopefully someone has experanced this before. I have a 115 evenrude that has been running really well so fare this season. Yesterday spent the day on Lake Cameron fishing took the kids Through the locks to Baslam to go for a swim at the provical park beach. Came back to Cameron fished for an hour or so and decided to head back to the marina to call it a day all was well untill the return trip to the marina. I punched the throttle and away we went as the boat planed out all of a sudden the engine Reved out and we started to slow down. I throttled back droped into neutral put it back in gear and statred to accellerate all seems fine then about 1/2 throttle the engen starts surging and we lose speed. So I throttle back to an Idle and punch throtttle the boat comes out of the hole like a shot but again about Half Throttle the reves come up but we lose speed Kinda like the water is moving faster than the prop can spin but have made no changes and have never had this problem before..

Any input or Ideas on a cause would be appreciated..

Sounds like a spun hub. Check your prop.
