Hi Folks,

While winterizing my new (used) motor, I noticed a fair bit of water in the lower unit. Infact, mostly water very little oil. The lower plug didn't have a gasket on it. Could this be the problem? Would there be any damage to the lower leg? I probably put 50 liters of gas through the engine before noticing the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Mike.

I would have all the lower unit packings replaced and when they do that they will check visualy. I cant say its a good thing but there was some oil .

for the cost of some seals and a bit of time , you mite want to drop the lower end and take a look.
