Spinning my trailer bunks question

Post by MuskieWannabe »

Hey there,

I've gotten the new ride and I've noticed one small thing that I'm going to try and fix tonight, but could use some input. The bunks on my trailer aren't wide enough to hold the runners on the bottom of my boat between them, so the boat has been sitting with one runner on the inside of the bunks and one runner on the outside, causing the boat to sit a little cock-eyed. I was looking at the bracket with a friend and all it is is an "L" shaped bracket held in by a bolt. We figured we could turn the L so it sits out, allowing me to gain the extra couple inches I need to have the runners sit on the inside of the bunks. I know the bunks are adjustable but I need about 3 inches in order to have the boat sit flush, and the bunks only adjust about an inch each or so.

The trailer is an easy-hauler...anyone ever do something like this? Any thoughts?

If not I'll let you all know how it turns out.

Cheers,

MW
