Transducer ajustment?

Post by 1lastcast »

Im finding that my lowrance x50ds fishfinder losses signal at around 20mph or so? I have looked at the transducer and after reading the manual. It looks like the complete transducer is above the boats hull bottom.

I have maxed out the ajustment by lowering the mount. The bottom of the transducer is just below or maybe flush with the bottom of the hull.

My question is.... If I need to lower this mounting bracket. What should i do about the currant holes and screws? Im not sure if they even pass through the transom? Should I just fill them with a marine goop silicone?

I own a 2007 legend xcal if that helps.

thanks guys

Hey 1last I just did the same thing mounting a new transducer last week.I filled the old holes with Marine Epoxy and it worked great. It even matched the color (beige) of my Legened hull. Picked it up at CT.
