motorguide electric problem.

Post by Wallyboss »

A buddy has a motorguide electric motor and the arrow on the top of the motor doesn't line up with the direction of the motor. We aligned everything but the pedal is now maxed out of one side. Is there another adjustment that we can't see.

Thanks

The arrow piece has a small plastic gear on it inside and these can strip if you get the motor stuck in weeds or if you turn it real sharp. They are fairly cheap and easy to replace. I think what you have done is turned the motor shaft or head which has caused your pedal to move. I would order a new arrow and the way to install it is take off the cowling on top, turn the head until the prop is centered as well as your pedal, install the new arrow and gear so it is pointed the right direction and then you are done. Good luck.
