Any good ideas on how to "lighten" a black livewel

Post by SixStringHack »

The front livewell (the one that I use most often) on my boat is black and the fish simply disappear in it on bright days. Anyone have any bright ideas (other than paint) for something that I could put on the bottom of the well to make it easier to spot the fish in it?

I'd take a light coloured cheapo shower mat - the ones with the suction-cups bottom. Cut it to shape. Now it's removable/cleanable and cost you $2.

I have that issue too, but there's usually a cull ball stuck to the fish's lip so that helps out.
