Electric motor question

Is there a big difference between a 24v electric and a 12v (using 2 12v batteries in parallel)????

A 24V electric will have more thrust than a 12V electric. AFAIK Minnkota motors are 12V for up to 55 lb thrust, 24V from 55 to 100 lb thrust and 36V for 100+ lb thrust .
Connecting two 12V batteries in parallel is still 12V but gives you twice the running time of a single 12V. Connecting two 12V batteries in series gives you 24V with a running time like a single 12V.
I think I got that right.....

2/12vlot parrale......still 12 volt..or mabe close to 12.4volt
in series.just ad.12 plus 12.24volt.ad one more 36 volt...actualy its more then 12 vols on those batteries but its something like that.
you can go up to 14 volt sometime.in one batterie.
actualy i just hook up.60 batterie here at work.today to get my 109volt.
about 1,7 volt aprox.eatch but 2 time the size off a car batterie.man they were heavy to carry.....

.back up power to restart the power station in case..

2 batterie to carry..

Joco the boat I am buying
has a 12v 55lbs I was just wondering if I could just add a batterry and save myself from buying a 24v.
