Use only Marine grade carpet and stainless staples to attack it to the bunks and fenders. To ensure against tearing or bubling off the wood it is good to use a marine adhesize to attach the surface of the carpet to the bunks.

Carpet is available through most marinas and marine supply stores special order in various colours. it ranges about $10 a square foot.

Just don't use that indoor outdoor green astro turf carpet, it will not last long, looks grose and can scratch gel coat.

The Chandlery

Post by (Big Bass Daddy) »

The Chandlery is the place I purchased my carpet last year and re-did all of the bunks on my Procraft trailer. Good quality easy to work with all looks great. The price was reasonable. Personnaly I'd rather pay a bit more than using cheap stuff that will tear appart at the end of the very first season...spend a bit more and forget about it.
