Looking for a different kind of boat prop....

My old man asked me to look around locally for a certain prop he saw a while back.

Its basically a regular prop, but at the end of the blades, the tip is curved to have a lip on it. Supposed to increase efficiency or something.

Anybody heard of this, know what they are called or where to get them?

is this for a trolling motor? then you are describing a Minnkota weedless wedge 2.

what size motor/make year etc.

Sorry I should have mentioned, it is for a Honda 4 stroke, 50 HP, its around a 2001 model, +/- a year or two.

I've been doing a fair bit of prop research myself and I found some of the information on the PowerTech Propeller site to be quite helpful.

From what I read, a curve at the outer edge such as the one you're describing adds lift to the rear of the boat, where as the degree of cup influences lift at the bow.
