Can't remember brand and/or model of boat

Post by FishToLive »

Hello,

I went to the Toronto Boat Show this weekend. I saw a aluminum v-boat, full windshield that had a nice rear fishing platform. The platform went all the way to the transom on both sides of the motor. The nice feature it had was the way the rear seat were installed and removed. There was chrome pipe attached at the back of the seat and you just inserted them in holes in the platform. When the seat were removed, nothing was in the way.

I saw too many boats, can't remember what it was. Hopefully someone can help me.

Thanks,

Pat

Was it one of the mainstream boat companies? i.e. Lund, Princecraft, G2 boats, Crestliner, etc.

How big was it?

Can you recall at all where on the show floor it was?

Here is the floor plan see if you can figure it out where it was and the boat company?

If you do not remember the boat you saw in Toronto maybe the same boat will be on display at the Ottawa show in a few weeks? iF it is not there then maybe there will be some specs on the boat there from a dealer even if the boat is not there..

Good luck

Trying going to the website and just looking down the list of companies that were represented there. Maybe it will jog your memory.

Sorry, man, I know how frustrating it is not to be able to figure something out.

Ya, I'll do some more digging. If I can't find it, I'll go to the Ottawa show.

Check out the Sylvan expedition sport.
This looks very similar to what you are describing.

Hope this is it,

SMOKERCRAFT!!!!!

I went to Promenade de l'Outaouais today and the rear seat configuration I had seen is on a Smokercraft ProAngler 172.

I think it is an option cause none of the boats on the Smokercraft web site have this seat.

I would like to modify my boat with the same set up. I took some pics with my cell. Once I transfer them, I will post...

The main part I will need is the female chrome ring that are installed in the carpeted platform. It will allow me to insert the posts attached on the rear seat.

Any idea where I can find this insert/mount?

Smokercraft web site doesn't have a "Contact Us" email.....
