GPS Questions

I am considering the navionics gold chip

Are way points and routes stored on the chip or on the unit ( only 1 SD card slot on unit) ?

If card is put in a diferent unit does it still have waypoints?

Waypoints and routes are stored in the GPS unit, not on the Navionics SD card.

It depends what unit you have ...
If you have 2 SD slots it will be stored on the 2nd card.

The waypoints are stored in the unit. They can be downloaded to a sd card and transferred to a unit of similar make. The second slot is for doing this while the mapping card is in place.
