What does everyone keep in their on board tool boxes in case of emergencys or repairs out on the water?
I am trying to put one together for my new boat and any ideas would be great.
Thanks
J

Ratchet/socket necessary to change prop (and a spare prop of course  )

These are things I've found necessary to get my partner and I out of jams during tournaments:
- small compact socket set.
- Leatherman multi-tool which includes pliers.
- Small multi-driver screwdriver with assorted bits.
- a few zip-ties / zap-straps.
- electrical tape is always useful (doubles as a quick bandaid if necessry).
- FIRST AID KIT (even the small ones are more useful than none!).
- spare _____ if desired. (main prop, livewell pump, bottle of marine oil, food and water rations (I like a few extra granola bars and bottles of water onboard), etc.)

All of this should fit in a small 1 cu.ft area of your boat. Keep it in a waterproof (Ziploc) bag or two and hope you never need to use it.

Murphy's Law says that once you assemble the kit, it will never be needed, but the day before you assemble it, you'll need every piece of it. LOL.

I have much of what was already mentioned, but I would add two tubes of JB Weld (I hate leaks!!) and a point and seal set for my trolling motor.
