Metal Shavings in Hull Bottom

Post by michael601 »

Hello,
I recently bought a new Legend Allsport and after taking it home I noticed there were bits of metal shavings at the bottom of the boat in the front storage compartment. After my first ride I opened the drain plug to drain the water and more metal shavings came out. Is this normal?

Is the boat brand new ? During the PDI this should have been cleaned but if the had to add aftermarket accessorie they might have drilled throught the aluminum and just not have cleaned up .

I would not worry too much .

Mostly from drilling, if you have a custom cover they drilled the snaps all around the boat.
If you ain't snagging...you ain't tryin
