Is there any difference btw using a bow roller or the V shaped stopper. I current have the V shaped stopper and my boat moves around a bit while driving and I am think with the roller the bow may come up a bit and eliminate the problem.

Personally I think the v stop would be more secure from movement. The roller would allow more vertical movement I would think. My boat has the v stop and it sits pretty snug once I winch it up tight. Does your trailer have rollers or bunks? Is your boat sitting flush all around as well?

it has rollers and is well balanced I think the problem is the location of the winch, instead of the strap being level it points down a bit which allows the boat to bounce a bit on the road I am thinking with the bow roller the boat will sit up more which will level out the winch strap.

try a tie down strap.. secured boat straight down to the trailer.. you can buy them at any marina.. strap, tightener and velcron pads to secure the tightener down..

Ditto...I bought stainless steel boat buckles (G2, not the G3 minis). Around 100$ for a set but there's no price for piece of mind. Boat never moves on the trailer. Also available in standard steel...a bit cheaper and a bit stronger.

I have a V bow stopper...nothing moves.

Usually that winch is adjustable up or down.
