Using HB 598ci side imaging FF to ID a fish?
Using HB 598ci side imaging FF to ID a fish?
I've been using it on the water for several times including Rideau river and Ottawa river but I was not able to see any fish from the small screen even I played with different setting. I even got my propeller hit by a rock for playing the FF on Ottawa river not paying attention to the Navionics depth map. Who has the tips to use HB 598ci that will allow to identify a fish on the si screen? Thanks.

The fish won't show up as fish on the screen, rather more like white blobs. Long skinny blob, pike or walleye, short fat blob, most likely a bass. keep in mind that your screen is condensed, so these white marks a small.
Save a bass. Eat a chicken

I never expect to see real fish icon. The problem is that I did not even see white points or blobs. Could you send me a photo showing the fish blob since I am not sure what that blob would be? Are you using 598ci too? I have more interest to read the fish on the screen than to catch a fish now. Thanks.

Seahawk. Have you adjusted your sensitivity? I'm usng the same finder I love it I don't worry too much about seeing the fish more the structure because where there is structure there is fish
