Hi everyone,
I'm redoing the carpet in my Cajun and I'd like to add some closed cell foam under to carpet like a lot of the newer boats have now..
I've looked everywhere and can't find any unless I order from the states.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Seems I need 1/4" thick.

Thanks.

Shawn,

Blue and yellow camping mattress is closed cell foam. Been using it for padding boat decks since the early 90's, works great. Home Depots also sells a closed cell foam underpad for carpets. It's ridged with a texture but would also work fine. I used it under the carpet which I laid in the bed of my Silverado. Quite durable, the same piece has been in 4 different trucks. My recommendation is to use 3/8". It will be a bit more challenging around the lids but with a bit of patience you should be able to make it work. I would also recommend a 3M high performance spray adhesive instead of the traditional outdoor carpet glues available at home centers.

Good Luck,
