March 1st Ice derby promises to be the best yet!!

"Ice fishing derby March 1st, at Oziles' at Petrie Island!!! Organized by Oziles' and members of Fish Hawk (and Fish n' Canada?) with all proceeds going to the Hopewell Center for Eating Disorders, www.hopewell.com. Prizes include a $1000 gift certificate from the Ashley Home Furniture store in Orleans (check spelling), generators from IDRO+, gift certificates, tackle and much more including silent auction items. Eric the intern from Chez106 will be joining us as well as other well known personalities. Rules and regulations can be found at a few local bait shops and will be available at the Voyageur Depot booth at the Sportman's show. Registration starts at 6:00am, and derby ends at 3:00pm. Prizes awarded at 3:30. Registration is $17 prior to derby day, $20 on derby day."

My buddy and I were talking about going to Petrie tomorrow. But we've never been. Could someone tell us how to access the area, and where to go to get bait locally, any tips would be appreciated too

Hi,

May be a bit late but coming down hwy 174 east bound, past Orleans, turn left at first traffic light, down hill, we are on the right hand side. We have live bait, fishing licenses, tackle, snacks, will drill holes, etc.
