I would highly recommend to anyone who is naming their boat to talk with Bucketmouth. He'll do up the lettering for you at a great price and with great pride and has the creative ability to come up with a style that is uniqely your own.

i havent named my boat yet either and have been thinking about it on and off for a bit. is there any names that a boat shouldnt have like "ful'o'holes" or "the banana"? :) . have come down to a name but not sure if it would be appropriate for the boat, "the giddun"????? (think thats how you spell it) appropriate? yes-no? just because she'll have anyone on-board.

:) I'll second what Mr. J say's about Bouquetmouths work. He did an excellent job on the Battleship.

Now if we could only get Mr. J to laterally reverse his sig picture so that the CH isn't the displayed the same way as it is at the Molson Centre.

I haven't bothered to name my Princecraft, but my brother nick-named her the "No Excuse" as in no excuse for not catching fish, when he first saw her and her equipment.

Ok, I always referred to my boat as 'a Her' "She's always been good to me". "She's outdone herself again" She sucked big time today etc etc etc..

Well after seeing this thread, for the past week or so, I thought I should come up with a name.

Next time you step into her, be nice to......TWIGY :!:

An why TWIGY you might ask?

No, it's not for the skinny Capt. but.....

The Wall-I-Guy's Yacht :!: .....

I think that's "thingamaboob", WIG.

Our 1st boat, a 14 footer, purchased the year we were married, was called Northern Exposure, because of all our big plans to take it to as many lakes over the border as possible. And it did right by us. The Crestliner hasn't been named (yet). I don't think we'll know it's true "soul" until Brian gets to put a 40 (h.p.) on it.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Named the first boat "Fred's Fancy" after my dad. Bought the Princecraft last year and went through all the names, pretty much most combinations involving "hooker" - these the wife veto'd. So ended up with "Fred's Fancy II" and that's fine with me.
