carp fishing.......area......?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

hi all

I would like to no if some people did see some carp action anywhere in the region,,,,,,,,,,,?

ottawa river.or any other river or local lakes.. :o

i am not looking for spot but just general area.....where there could be some good carp action..... :P

i already no a cople off place,,,,,,,but i never have to many place to go,,,,,,,, :roll: .

i tell you guys CARP fishing is fun........there should be more people targething them.......but if not its more carp for us,,, :P :wink: ..


so any info on local or not to far carp action,,,,that is going on now.....
some place had some action in the past weeks but they seems to move a lot... some place are good only for a week or so out off a year and after that thats it,,,,no action......

but there those general area like dow lakes....and rideau behind carleton university the st laurence,,,etc......

some place the carp already spawn,,,,but they dont spawn all over the place at the same time,,,,as to do whit water temp etc...always fun to no where there spawning and all........



but i would like to try new region or sector....always fun to try new place,,,,,,, :P ............some carp adventure.... :D ....

and it would helpfull to no what kind off shorline is in those sector,,,rocky or wathever,,,,and the bottom look like,,,,,rocks weeds etc etc,,those are all great info to have a great carp adventure...... :wink: ,,thanks..in advance.... :)


so any info would be appreciated.....

Hey Joco, I fish at Black's Rapids from time to time and I always see them there. I tried for them once and got a couple smaller ones but have seen some big boys. Everytime I have gone they have been there so I assume they still are there. Be prepared for fast or slow water as it always different. Good luck, I'll keep my eyes open (and polarized glasses on) and let ya know if I see any significant amount.

Hey Joco,

I've hooked them near Manotick where the Rideau River and the Jock River meet. Also got a few at Hog's Back.

Park at the ramp at the Masson Ferry, walk east along shore line till you hit weeds, or walk up to Beaver hut under power lines, it's full of carp there :!:

Former FH'er Crazyhook has been getting lots of carp in that area, if you are able to, get a hold of him. I'm sure he'd take you to his spot.

we have been talking me and him ,,,,,,,(crazzyhook)....for some carp and musky....... :wink: ....we supose to have a little outhing.... :P :wink:
