Todays fish....Gar

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Todays fish....Gar

Post by Jonathan »

:D I got to sleep in today. :) Dad went to catch minnows and we were going for gar on Lake Erie. We left around lunch time and when we got there the waves were too high to fish for gar. We started fishing the silver bass and got lots of them. They were all small. Then the waves settled down and we went after the gar by drifting minnows. Dad and I each lost two and then I landed a nice 32" one.

It took dad a while but he got a 32" gar to.

Then just before we left for supper dad got a little gar.

So it was a good week for fishing and a nice way to end it.

Great work Jonathon. With the various species you pull in and report on, you are truly an inspiration. Keep it coming.

It's nice to actually catch what you target and usually has nothing to do with luck but skill. Nice job, Jonathan...!...oh, and you, too, Salmon!

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Gee, those Gar are pretty scary looking!

After handling those, Musky and Pike will seem like Goldfish!

Congratulations! You shall become a (or already are) a Pro!
