I am new to the forum so this is a test run. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Silver lake fish derby this weekend. I called the Silver Lake resaurant (that was named in the flyer stapled to my ice hut) but they didnt know anything about it. I am wondering who is running it.

I had the same flyer dropped off at my shop......the info on it is all I know. Show up at the restaurant between 7:30 and 8 saturday mornin' and see what happens. 
If there's no derby, at least you can take a crack at the pike and lakers in Silver!

Its just a fun derby A couple of guys put on every year(3rd year).everyone throws in 10 bucks biggest fish takes it.this year they added pike.And live release.Iff you bring in a two pound fish alive it will beat a three pounder dead.All fish weighed at the end of the derby so you will need some kind of livewell.Look for a guy in a blue jeep.Wally Zielinsky.I think the top 3 get cash a 4th mistery weight gets something.All money collected goes back into the prizes.
