Too funny. By the way, thanks for posting a link to my site. You were certainly on the right track with "fresh water shrimp, scuds, or other kinds of invertebrates that the fish eat", and would likely have come up with Daphnia, had Eric included that tidbit about size in his first post.

Yes, I am an avid fly fisher. However, I don't have an edge on the trout. Several of my friends, who know much less about aquatic insects, are actually much better fly fishers. Aquatic entomology is just a subject which I have always found fascinating, and enjoy sharing with others.
I really was worried about opening this thread. I just didnt post anything but it is good to see I was not the only one who went down that road. Sick sick minds of ours. Bugs in my hole, man that just sounds painful!
