careful on the ice guys!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

careful on the ice guys!!

Post by Andy_L »

this morning on the radio they were reporting MNR stating to be VERY careful on the ice. Calling the lakes and rivers SNOWMOBILE TRAPS (and ice-fishermen) right now because of the heavy snow on the relatively thin ice. The snow insulates the ice and prevents it from thickening.

So if you're going out over the holidays BE SURE its safe to do so.

lol fatherly advice over with :)

Merry Christmas

IT will be never said anaugh.............BE SAFE then sorry.

think about what you could left behind (familly)

yes some think we are motherly or fatherly.but hey its for your good guys.

some are tired to see thoe warning.but there always new people in here..

if one warning can save some troble or worst..it was worth it.big time.

tons off place do look safe BUT there NOT.

i do no it is sad to be able to go all over...patiente and go where it is safe.

ask people around where you think you might go.(for info)
dont go alone.

drill some hole as you go farther on ice.

take care and i wish you all.some great fishing.

yeah i agree Joco....i know everyone gets tired of the 'warnings' to. Just figured since that was coming from the MNR about the ice being insulated and not thickening, that i would risk adding another message about it :)

Without this rain and thaw we could forget about getting permanent shack on the ice this year...it simply wouldn't be worth the effort...

I mainly use mine for evening fishing anyways with Birdee....weekends are reserved for other lakes..

Rain Baby Rain!

It's just not worth the effort yet.... But when the ice is finally ready wow.. will this site get busy with storys.

Ya gotta like the idea of fishin in the yard in the shack for some brown trout! Catch my limit and sometimes I go over and the wife lets me know about.

Keep the shacks in the yard fellas and jump the odd time for your rod. Great practice...
