who wants to go spec fishin

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

half way between Venachar and Snow Road Station, a long ways from quebec, or atleast you would drive past a lot of trout lakes to get there

On a serious note Mike try going to a bait shop etc and looking for the Eastern Ontario Back roads map book and look through it. Lots of info on lakes in this area and tells you if there is boat access, trails, etc. Also tells you what fish are in there if it is fair to good fishing and some spots to try.

This book is almost as much as a bible for some as the Precision Trolling book

This is the best place to start as you have seen on here people like to keep their places hush hush...Now as for plevna..A lot of the lakes up there are in the book. It does not always have those little gem of a lake but that is the stocking lists with a little help of google etc.

Or in your case Mike the Southwestern Quebec Backroads book...it's around 20 bucks and one of the most helpful tools in your hunt for new water. It includes a great reference section and maps to some detail of lakes, road networks and even trails. With that book and a handheld GPS unit you should be able to find a few new spots and maybe even that 'Gem' of a spec lake your looking for.
