Leave my house early to head over to meet up and go fishing.
We're fishing musky.

I brought my rods, net etc but forgot my tackle boxes.
So we had 3 lures to use!

We're out fishing, I had cast the only in-line spinner in the boat. I'm getting no action!

I decided to take a break and I drop the spinner to the bottom (about 13 fow).....

I jig once, twice.....snag!

Wait a sec! snags don't pull and head shake! I real up! 39" musky on the line!

Probably the most BS way to catch one, but still hillarious!
I beg to differ, Jamsers. I think I have the most BS way a (tiger) musky was caught.

We had just gotten to our tiger stompin' grounds (well, waters). I picked up my rod, and didn't even cast it, because my Slopmaster was kind of in a jumble. So I dipped it in the water over the side of the boat and was kind of flopping it around when SMMMMMASH!!! Tiger on! Thank God my drag was set perfectly.

Landed the booger; not huge, but oh so crazy-fun! So technically, this hybrid brother to the "fish of a ten-thousand casts" was caught without even casting once.

Fun thread. A great opportunity to recall the story.

Bass/walleye fishing on Poisson Blanc with my dad and brother. I am about 12 years old. My brother reals in a nice 3 lbs bass with a school of 10 or so similar sized fish following behind. In a mad panic to get at the fish, my dad quickly tosses his jig in...unfortunately, it swung and hooked me in the nostril. Took a couple minutes to get the hook out but the fish were still buzzing around, so I grab my rod and cast out quickly...hook my OWN back! That was about it for me that day....we still laugh about this one!
We did manage to boat a few nice fish :O)
