Advice and Help Needed

Post by Laketrout »

I could use some advice,on my boat trailers tires. I have noticed that the one on the side that I have mounted my kicker motor is wearing out in the midle. The other is showing no signs of wear.
Theres 46lbs in each tire. They call for@ Max. weight, 80lbs pressure.
Big-O Your safety concern has been taken care of

I bought a 12v plug to install on the boat for my GPS and a spotlight.
The wires are white and grey, and ideas which one is the ground.

your tires are underinflated you should run them at 80lbs i',m sure Big-O will be responding with his tale of underinflated tires as for the 12volt plug I would guess white is the ground but it would be just that, a guess :?

I would argue that if you are wearing out the middle of the tire, you may be over inflated. This causes your tires to balloon and ride on the center portion. With too little air, that is when you usually where the outsides of the tire.

One trick to do is draw a straight line on the cement with a big piece of chalk (you know, the kind you steal from your kids). Draw a line about 10 inches wide, then drive over it (perpendicular to the line). See how much of the chalk is on the tread, and conversly how much of your tread marked up the line. Then inflate up or down accordingly.

Good luck.

I would GUESS Ground is Grey, DO NOT MAKE A MISTAKE. Some electronics are polarity sensitive and if you wire it backwards. OPPS, it just blew a resistor.
