Congratulations

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

What was the top bag weight?? I was in a work derby and wow what a day it was. With lightning striking a tree about 200ft from me and my buddy to one Renegade guy falling in the lake after a huge thunder bang hit really good as well. Made me and my buddy duck in the boat but this guy went right in. He got out all right and was laughing a bit about it. Anyway we got one 4lb bass and I lost one that I feel could have been my first nickle but we will never know. I do know people had a hard day on the water and it looked like everyone was fishing the 8-12ft areas in the middle of the lake. We fished a bay in 2-4ft of water where no one was and had an o.k day with 4 bass and 3 pike caught. We threw everything at them even the kitchen sink

The one thing I do have to say about some of these guys is they are thoughtful. We were trolling down the lake looking for walleye and one of the derby guys was just in front of us and he told us he was marking a lot of fish in 16ft that he thought was walleye so we thanked him and tried our luck. Later in the morning he came over and asked us how we did.

Well congrats Spence and Corey on your win. I came in second in ours and my buddy came in first. $300 in our boat at the end of the day :D

Still trying but only had a morning fish Sat as it was the wifes B day and I felt I should watch my son for a bit. All other events have been screwed up with things as of late but to answer your question I am dam well gonna make at least three of these things this year. I will pay dues again for next year and try again. Still believe 100% in the ORWL.

Acutally they had problems with the water weigh in scales so they went back to the original scales which they used for years and were spot on.It was great of them to come straight out and tell us about it though i must say it was a issue well handled. The old scales take 20 readings per second and pick the average so even if there slightly moving it doesn't affect your total weight trust me we inquired prior to weighing in due to our last mistake on st.louis.Thanks to all for the congrats was really a great feeling to put another win in the books.
take care
