life jackets

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Still don't think that pfd's should be mandatory tho'.
yup 440 frank was my old man.

The funny thing is....I bet there are as many Snowmobile riders that drown every winter as there are boaters that do in the summer. Should we pass a law to make floater suits and life jackets mandatory on Snowmobiles when under power? My point is and has always been...Where the hell does it stop! Personally I think it should stop with a good foot up some suggestive MP's backside! The guys that make up these laws are rarely the ones that are affected by them.

as a new member I have a question then,, fishing both out of aluminum boats and kayak,, I wear my PFD while travelling,, but decide to float around in 3 feet of water in my kayak with no current nor wind about 20 yards from shore,, with other people around,, they mean I can't just lay there in the sun,, gotta wear a life jacket,, heck better enforce PFD for air matresses at the beach in 2 feet of water then NO?

or say I decide to take off my sweater at noon cuz it is warmer out,, do I go to shore for fear that some a-hole with binoculars may see me take off my PFD for 20 seconds to get cooler or say I throw on a rain suit..

better gets lots of police ready for the July 1st fireworks on the Canal

to be honest i dont have it all the time. specialy in my kayak..sometime its in my way or not comfy.

but this is why i got those inflatable ones..so now i put it on a lot more often.

that is one major prob..people have lifejacket that dont fit them well or not the right one for the right job.

some lifejacket are realy comfy and not to hot.

i love inflatable ones...small and not to hot.

make it legal to have it on.......not sher.

what happen you are on a 30 foot pontoon boat..like a house boat and have to wear that thing..a none sense.

sher mabe they would be less death by drowning..i am sher off this...to many people do drown because off this....but a lot off those time there was other factors....stupidity or alcool or hesle..sometime pure accident..

the prob it would be good for some situation and a none sense in others..hard to put a 100% on this subject.
