Go to lure would be this Ripplin'red fin that had the misfortune of spending a couple of summers with me on lake Wanapetei.
Must also mention Sutton 44 and 71, Dartee from Williams, Kwikfish and large streamers (Magog smelt).

Williams Wablers and Little Cleo's flat-lining in Algonquin at the opener
The Cleo's are heavy and jig vertically well too, along with white tubes and white twisters

Once you learn to fish jigs
you will never troll again...well maybe not ever, but you probably won't catch as many as on a jig...they totally rock...and when you use them in conjunction with a flasher, or other quality electronics ...they rock and roll.
Modern era boy'z it works, but like anything else, you have to spend a little time learning.

Ripplin Red Fin Silver w Black or a black wooly bugger w lead core. 4 ft gang troll and a 3ft leader. In winter it is a swedish pimple tipped with white grub or minnow or just a simple drop shot w minnow.

Bought some spoons a few years back with assorted colours of reflective tape on one half. Used them last summer and they were outfishing Suttons.
Don't know the name of the spoon!...and would like to buy more. Also small rapalas with a spinner at the front work well.
