I got out yesterday for my first ice fishing outing of the year. Did not have too much luck. The fish did not seem that active. We lost a couple at the hole. It always seems that you lose more fish at the hole in thin ice.
First fish of the year... small pike on a tip up, medium minnow and jig.
Second fish was a small sauger caught on tip up, medium minnow and jig
Third fish small walleye caught on a mepps cyclops tipped with minnow
Another small sauger caught on a buckshot rattling spoon tipped with minnow
Finally a nice fish. A 23 inch walleye caught using a minnow and jig.
Cheers,
Steve
