Fishing is a heritage we need to teach. Take a kid fishing! And take me too while you're at it.

Sand Lake

Saturday was great...caught a few smallies down deep...then switched to the back bays and fishing pads for Largies...it was explosive. about a dozen caught with the largest being 23" and chunky (no idea of weight...but it was a porker) another one at 22".

Sunday....couldn't buy a bite LMAO. ok it wasn't THAT bad....but nothing like Saturday

Yeah Sunday was rough despite good conditions. Calm water and overcast, I did manage a pike with a floating mouse just off the dock though. Was a little guy but a big surprise lol.

Went out for a bit today and seems worse than yesterday. It's like all the Bass went into hiding after Saturday lol

Clayton lake was on fire.... tons of fish.... no monsters but we would have weighed in five semi bigguns in a tournie. Lets hope we do as well in Sunday's OVSB tournament. :P

On the Ottawa.
Five biggest largies totalled 13.7lbs.
Biggest was 5.0lbs even.
The clouds and light winds made for a perfect top water day.

wow, I don't know what I did wrong, threw all kinds of topwaters on the Ottawa and only managed 1 largie in about 5-6 hours, and that fish was maybe 2lbs. This northern boy still has much to learn about the ways of the largemouthed one.

Yannick,
They liked a very fast top water retrieve. Slow only drew pike and gar.
