people that don't have experience with this particular engine, can't really judge.

you just have to loosen the idler.

Idler ?????

The tension on Serpentine belts are kept with what they call a BELT TENSIONER ............not the old school idler pulleys

Besides .........

When a '' Master Tech '' is performing a belt replacement one would think he would be performing a complete inspection of all the pulleys for bearing noise or side to side play for bearing play....In which he would have picked up on the loose water pump bolts .....when the boat first came in ..........RE - Moonshines Consparicy Theory... .the customer loosened them off before hand....

Here's a few response from your comments.

for MLR comment - I created a new post based on someone else recommendation.

Guys, let's leave the belt issue alone as even myself don't have all the answers. I'm still trying to find out moe info .... I will update you all in due time.

The goal of this forum was to get ideas...

Look it guys, this damn post/and the other has been on the air for more than 2 weeks now!!!

If you want good service, can accept a small box family business that does not carry bad reputations, go and visit Laurentian Marine.
Low overhead and has been here for many, many, many years!!!!
And besides, you get in and out service!
Guaranteed not to make a big mistake!

Hey, we are Canadian!!!! :D

I said it was a smart move. Sorry to offend.

Now for the recommendations

1. When a customer comes to pick up their boat after being repaired. Take the 5 minutes to go outside with them, and show and tell what work was done so that both you and the customer can see that everything is good to go.

2. Never try to resolve a customer complaint or air your dirty laundry on an internet forum.

3. Give Daner a raise

4. Please don't update us on the belt issue, I agree, we have heard enough about it.
