Open Seat - NASA Lake SM Slay Fest - Mini Report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Open Seat - NASA Lake SM Slay Fest - Mini Report

Post by cprince »

I am heading out tomorrow AM... I would like to leave as early as possible (Kids go on the bus at 7:30am), but willing to wait if need be... no later than... say... 10am. Plan on staying on the water 'till sundown if the bite is good. If not... then when we get sick of it!

I live about 35 minutes from UOttawa/King Edward. Exceedingly simple to get to the farm... drive north on King Edward for about 40kms and turn left at Alcove. Up the road 3.5 Kms... the farm is on the right.

From there I will take you to NASA Lake about 5 minutes away.

Price: 1 XL Triple Triple.

A qui le chance?

Craig

Thanks... BA chose work too!

This is my Rumble pre-fish. I figure this way I will fish a body of water that I can catch something other than pike on at least once this week-end!

No go for me too...fishing super early tomorrow. I growl and mumble alot.

Have a great day out though, the weather is supposed to be better than the soaking we've gotten today.

So do I... but it is usually due to what I ate the night before!

***BTW***

Even if you have never PM'ed me... replied to any of my threads, or I to yours... don't sweat it!

More than welcomed. New friends is kind of what this site is all about IMO.

I thought it was agreed that we would not reply to open seat threads with reasons why we COULDN'T go............

Since it seems to be OK...........

I'd love to go for some "geek talk"..... but not everyone gets to make their own schedules..... :-)

Good luck and I look forward to the report...

Craig, this really is what it's all about. You are bringing some great qualities to FH.

Having said that, I have to add:

DAMN WORK SCHEDULES.... DAMN SCOPE CHANGE MEETINGS ON FRIDAYS......!!!

No blindfold!!!

No one came... and it was probably a good thing. I only got in about 45 minutes, when one of my daughters called and I had to pick her up at school. SICK!!!

Here are pics of my 45minute fish:

I managed 3 SMBs and 2 LMBs... no scale, but the SMBs were certainly all 3.5+++++ the LMBs were only in the 2.5 range. They were hitting my black Terminator Hybrid HARD!

In the last picture, I wanted to make sure that I got my Shimano FX broom stick rod in the shot. People make fun of me for owning that rod like you wouldn't believe. ...well... if RJ and BassAddict count as people...

By the time I picked her up, she was starting to feel a little better... So I had to pick up some supplies for the Rumble tomorrow.

I aimed for Lebarons and ended up at Paddletales.

Great to have met Ed!!! Seems like the perfect fishing partner!!!

I hope to see you at the Rumble tomorrow Ed!!!

not bad for 45 mins!
Is that your 18 HP you're trying out? She run ok?

For a brief few minutes at my desk this morning I considered faking an upchuck and B-lining it to the 417... and making it back just in time for dinner. I am that desperate to fish.

Good luck in the Rumble!
