LF Lowrance gps/plotter

Post by bassman40 »

My 2 networked 520c's are officially dead.
one won't power up and the other powers up but won't boot up. Wiring checked and all seems ok so I'm convince its the units.
The units are 6 years old and discontinued by lowrance. Lowrance wont do much but advise the replacement for these units is the new hds-5.
If anyone has a line on new or gently used replacement units please let me know.

thanks

There are also these ones. Smaller but less expensive as well:

well I've called Lowrance and they're no help (or service).."out of warranty...out of luck" and no longer supported.
so I'm searching for new units.
Ideally want a HDS5 unit (GPS/Sonar combo) if anyone has a cheap unit.

Alternatively, I was also looking at humingbird units but not sure if my factory installed lowrance antenna, transducer, NME2000 cabling network would work with Hummingbird.
anyone know?
