Bass Lakes around Smiths Falls

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Bass Lakes around Smiths Falls

Post by cweatherell »

Any suggestions for bass lakes around Smiths Falls, smallies or large mouth? I have a few days off, a float tube and fly rods looking for something other than the Rideau River. Thx

Thx!

I'll give Otter a try, I am assuming there is public access and a float tube will be OK?

Yeah, go down Hwy 15, there's a sign for a boat launch to get onto Otter lake, a little further down Hwy 15 is another boat launch to get onto Big Rideau lake just before Portland. If you decide to go on Lower Rideau lake, there's a launch along Hwy 43.
